The conference will start with introductory remarks setting out the topics of the two round table discussions that will follow, namely (i) “Réflexions sur l’arbitrage des litiges sportifs en France” (with French-speaking panelists and simultaneous interpretation in English) discussing the potential desirability and feasibility of submitting sports disputes to arbitration in France, and (ii) “Drawing on 40 years of the Court of Arbitration for Sport: Time for Evolution, Innovation or Revolution?” (in the English language, with simultaneous interpretation in French) addressing the strengths and weaknesses of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and exploring possible future developments, including any alternatives to the CAS, in the settlement of international sports disputes.
