The overall theme of the conference is to address the most effective ways to deal with small and medium value claims in arbitration. The first part of the conference will highlight the challenges faced by parties and practitioners in small and medium value claims, and present possible solutions. The second part will address the users’ expectations and the options available for dispute management and resolution before and once the dispute arises, including the effective drafting of arbitration clauses, ADR and early case assessment. The third and final part will focus on how best to shape the arbitral proceedings, and provide practical guidance from various perspectives on how to find the right balance between due process, fair treatment and efficiency.
